2012 Membership Fee's effective from 1st January 2012.
An Australian BMX licence must be obtained before participating in race meetings or training. Contact the Club Registrar for Townsville BMX Club regarding this.
New licences are as per below:
Please note that from 2012 the 3 ride permit and day licence will no longer be available, and will be replaced by a 4 month licence. Details of this licence are provided below.
$64.00 for a club licence this enables the rider to ride at our club only and excludes any two day events held by the club. Racing only (which can be upgraded later by payment of a further $24.00).
$88.00 for open which allows the rider to ride at any club nationwide (a birth certificate or proof of age is required with all new licence applications).
$82.00 for a sprocket (a birth certificate or proof of age is required with all new licence applications).
$40.00 for a four month licence (a bith certificate or proof of age is required with all new licence applications). A new 4 month licence is being introduced by BMX Australia to replace the existing 3 ride permit. The aim of this introductory licence is to allow new riders unlimited access to try BMX for 4 months before joining the sport permanently. The licence is aimed at riders to try BMX at a beginner club level. The below guidelines provide further information on the licence.
- The 4 month licence will cost $40 for the rider;
- This will replace the 3 ride permits and day licences;
- This licence is an open licence and therefore members can ride at club and state level, however will not be eligible to ride at State Titles and National events;
- Following the 4 month introductory period the member is then eligible to become a full member (only Open or Sprocket, NOT club) and they will receive a $20 discount off the cost of their full licence;
- Only new members can apply for this licence (no renewals);
- This licence is only allowed to be purchased once by the member;
- This licence will be available from 1st January 2012 onwards.
Club membership is $40.00 per member. Members who don't ride however wish to have a say in the running of the club can also pay the above fee . These are annual costs.
The nomination fee for racing is $6.00 per rider with discounts with greater numbers per family, second class (cruiser) $3.00.
Training fees are $25.00 per rider per school term which is payable at the beginning of each term, school terms are outlined in the coaching info.
